The U20 Female Mexican Team is currently in
action with the Mexican Volleyball Federation in order to raise the Female
Mexican Team’s level, and consequently regain involvement in international
events.
The head coach, Luis León, has assembled a team
with a larger average height. The Mexican Team participated in the Continental
Championship NORCECA U20 in 2016 and won 5th place. Being a host
country, Mexico has the opportunity to allow volleyball to grow in the women’s
area. Mexico’s main objective will be qualifying in the event’s 2nd
round.
Kathya García, a United States university
player, and Karina Flores are among the best players.
