Brazil

Brazil’s U20 team has a glorious history of victories that makes South American girls one of the forces in volleyball world. The Brazilians have amassed the world champion’s tittle six times (the last one was in Thailand 2007). The yellow jersey is to be feared and respect even though has been ten years since the last time Brazil snatched the gold. Nevertheless, the team commanded by Hairton Cabral is fierce. The last edition of Women’s U20 World Championship they stand until de final, when Dominican Republic’s girls were crowned, as the Brazilian team finished as runner-up in Puerto Rico 2015. With a taller average height, the green and yellow squad has a great potential to overcome the other strong teams and be back at the top again.

Cabral De Oliveira, Hairton

Assigned as Brazil’s U20 team in 2016 the Women’s U20 World Championship 2017 is Hairton Cabral’s main challenge since then. He is no stranger to Brazilian volleyball national teams. He has been assistant coach for other categories for a while before start to work with the young ladies. Hairton has the mission to take de Brazilian flag back to the top after a decade. With a vast experience at Superliga, Brazil’s main league, as head coach of São Caetano, a team among the most traditional clubs in the South American country. Hairton Cabral led his girls to the gold at the 23rd  Women’s U20 South American Championship in Colombia, last year, that qualified Brazil to the worldwide competition.
