Peru

This will be Peru’s eneath participation in the U20 world championships and the eneath consecutive. U20 Peru earned one medal in the 1981 edition. Their best results in recent years were a sixth place finish in both 2011 and 2015 junior world championships.
U20 Peru has won four times the gold medal at the category’s South American Championship and have only been absent from podium only four times in history. Peru at U20 level has olso won one gold in the Pan American Cup in 2011.

This will be the first underage world championship with Peru for Queiroga who is no stranger to this tournaments as he has won medals in previous editions of the WCH with the brazilian junior team. Queiroga is head of coaches for the U20 and U18 peruvian volleyball squads.
Brazilian Queiroga entered the U18 and U20 peruvian volleyball teams in early 2016 leading to a bronce medal in U20 and silver in U18. After the Junior World tournament, Queiroga will lead the youth team in Argentina.
