Team profile

China

In preparation for the FIVB Women’s U20 World Championship in Mexico in July 2017, China Women’s U20 Volleyball Team was set up in May 2016. It won the first place of the Asian Women's U19 Volleyball Championship in Thailand in July 2016, qualifying for the FIVB Women’s U20 World Championship this year. The players in this team come from 9 different clubs, with an average age of 20 and average height of 1.86m.
As the backup team of China Women's Senior Volleyball Team, it aims to select and train talented volleyball players while participating in this year’s U20 World Championship. In recent years, talented players, such as Zhu Ting, Yuan Xinyue, Gong Xiangyu, were selected and played for China Women's Senior Volleyball Team after playing for U20 team. China Women’s U20 Volleyball Team has won the World Junior Championship in 1995 and 2013respectively.
