Cordoba

Host City: Cordoba

Cordoba was founded in 1618 and lies 120 kilometres in land from Boca del Rio. It holds an important place in Mexican history as it was where the Mexican revolutionary Agustín de Iturbide and the Spanish viceroy Juan de O'Donojú signed the Treaty of Córdoba which ratified the Plan de Iguala and confirmed Mexico's independence in August 1821.

In 2015 The Cordoba Arena was the venue for the NORCECA Men’s Continental Championship, a qualifying tournament for the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games.
