Alina Podskalnaia started to play volleyball in the age of 9 in sport school SDUSHOR in the city of Cherepovets. Then she became a player of Volleyball club Severyanka. Alina Podskalnaia became a player of Russian Youth Girls team when she was 15 years old. She won 2015 CEV U18 Volleyball European Championship - Women and as a player of Russian Junior Women's team she won 2016 CEV U19 Volleyball European Championship - Women in Slovakia and Hungary.
